Welcome to Our Nursery!

Miss Barnes is still very excited to be leading the nursery. This year we are very lucky to be having Mrs Watts another fully qualified teacher joining our nursery team! 

Mrs Gravestock, Mrs White, and Mrs Lall will also be continuing to enjoy working with the children in the main nursery. 

Mrs Rudd, Mrs Capon and Mrs Aris will be caring for the 2 year olds. Miss Thomas and Miss Sally Barnes will be caring for the 1 year olds.

Your child has a Key Worker in the nursery...please see a member of staff to find out who your child's key worker is!

Ourselves

This half term the children will be finding out about themselves. They will be investigating their own bodies thinking about how they are all different but all unique.

During our daily PE and Music and movement sessions the children will be finding out how they can make their bodies move in different ways.

In the creative areas the children will be exploring a variety of different media and using this to create simple representations of themselves.

In Literacy children will be learning to recognise their names and when ready starting to write their own name.

Nursery Events

Fundraising: In the summer term the nursery children had a teddy bears picnic where they managed to raise over £60 through face painting and games. Well done! This money will be used to contribute towards creating a safe and secure natural area for the nursery children to enjoy. Look out for new fundraising ideas this year.  

Our new 1 year olds room: The 1 year olds room is now in full flow. Miss Rhiannon Thomas and the 1 year olds are having lots of fun in our new 1 year olds room. Miss Sally Barnes is looking forward to joining them. If you want your 1 year olds to come and join the fun then speak to Joyce Atkins in the School Office or Miss Barnes in the Nursery. We offer full wrap-around care for children from 8am to 6pm, 51 weeks of the year.

Warmer Weather

Can we please ask all parents to ensure that during the warmer weather children come into nursery with sun cream applied, a named sun hat and a named bottle of water. We are happy to reapply your child's suncream if you have completed the suncream form. Please see Miss Barnes or a member of the nursery team for a letter. Thank you for your support with this matter.
