| Skip Information for parents Information for parentsThank you for helping to support your child with his or her homework. Homework we set each week Literacy, numeracy or project based task Handed out on a Monday, due in the following Monday. Home reading The more the better! A team point is given out for three home readings recorded in the reading record. Reading records need to be in school every day for recording school reading; teachers collect them in and add comments on a Friday. A guide to questions to ask your child can be found inside the reading record. Entries can be from a range of texts read, not just your child’s school reading book. Multiplication tables We have a weekly multiplication tables quiz; children work through the tables at their own pace. Bronze award – can count in sequence in the table, e.g. 2, 4, 6, 8 Silver award – can recall multiplication facts related to table Gold award – can recall multiplication and division facts related to table. We will be moving into numeracy sets from next week. Spellings Spellings are sent home in the form of a ‘look, say, cover, write and check’ sheet.
